GRIT Magazine Picnic Table Plans

Grit Magazine - Picnic Table Building Plans

I’m always excited when I have a new article in print because it’s an opportunity to expand my reach and help others.  It’s a bit like Christmas morning and it makes me smile every time.

In the new issue of Grit Magazine, you’ll find an easy DIY Picnic table with building plans, this is a fun article that begins down memory lane.  Going on picnics was a big part of my life back in the day because my grandma loved going to the beach.

This farm style picnic table is a simple yet sturdy design anyone can build.  Robert built one just like this for us when we moved to our farm and after 7 years it still looks great, it’s also been a great prop for many of the photos here on the blog.

Let me also add the table cloth in the first image was grandma’s… It was always a favorite of mine and she used it to cover the table where we shared lunch.  The material is very thin now but it’s just one of those things I can’t seem to part with as it holds memories of good food and sweet conversations.

She would have been thrilled to see it in print…

This entire publication is amazing and it’s packed with some really neat feature articles.  One in particular on cutting trees I guess that caught my attention because of Quail Grove.  For all you tomato lovers you’ll discover tips for canning, and some neat varieties of onions too. Most of all you won’t want to miss the letter from the editor, it’s fantastic and one of the best I’ve read in a really long time.

Grit should start rolling into stores this week like Tractor Supply, Barnes and Noble, Lowes and selected grocery stores.  Or just go to their website and get a subscription here.  Grit just get it’s right every time and can you believe it’s been around since 1882.

How wonderful. Love your picnic table idea. Sometimes you just can’t find a good spot for a picnic and a traveling table would make all the difference. I love that you use it for your photo shoots and I think grandma’s tablecloth needs to make it into more shots. It’s such a beautiful shade of blue. (my favorite color)
