I remember my first blog post like it was yesterday with fond memories thinking what sets Garden Up Green apart from all the other gardening blogs. Without a great deal of soul searching I knew this blog was going to have heart and real life wisdom passed down through generations.
I knew writing a gardening book was in my future but with so many out there I wasn’t sure the world needed another.
But then something happened over the course of two years. This blog began to grow and I found that others were embracing simplified gardening methods. The opportunity to teach and encourage others to pick up a shovel was happening.
Then one morning last summer I was watering the garden where I had this experience that was beyond inspiring, to the point I couldn’t even speak, I know hard to believe…
After sharing it with Robert we started bouncing ideas across the air and Startle Garden was born just waiting for me to begin writing.
In the book I actually say, “It was like a wow here and a pow there and I wanted to dance” I never imagined a morning chore would encourage such a neat gardening book.
My goal is always focused on the end result and I thrive by sharing in the most simplistic way possible to get there because I understand that life today is over stimulating.
Gardening doesn’t need to be difficult it’s about understanding the basics, much like riding a bike.
Once the foundation is established we can move forward with confidence.
So, not only did I pour my heart into this book I also wrote in the style of a workbook. I wanted those reading to really embrace gardening and use this book as a source to moving forward correctly.
This is why I also included a checklist and additional note pages. I have so many favorite areas in this book but the checklist is a perk because it helps keep you from skipping steps and pulls everything together in one place.
Startle Garden is a piece of my heart passed down from one generation to the next, a Step by Step garden system that really does work.
This book help gardeners grow their best garden, now available in eBook.
